Our history began in Italy in 1845 as a craft enterprise and then evolved in 1967 with the first firm registered as a construction company.
Over the years, the company started to expand its operations and consolidated its presence in increasingly specialized sectors showing a dynamic and innovative attitude from construction up to the installation of telecommunications and renewable energy facilities through the winning format of turn-key projects. Today CESAF in Italy is dedicated to the construction of infrastructures for telecommunications and 5G development and the construction tradition continues in Africa.
Indeed in 2010, CESAF started the development in the African market aiming at bringing its expertise and organization to new contexts, with a focus on the turnkey construction projects.
The first African company – CESAF LIBERIA Ltd – was established in 2011. In just a few years, CESAF LIBERIA Ltd has become a leader in turnkey construction in Liberia bringing to completion landmark projects in the country.
Specifically, contracts were completed with government agencies and private companies including the Central Bank of Liberia, National Social Security Corporation, Monrovia Breweries Inc, West African Regional Fish- eries Project (funded by the World Bank), GLS-NAS, GT Bank and Mission Aviation Fellowship at the Monrovia Airport, to name a few.
In over 10 years of presence in Africa, we had acquired the organizational competencies, independence, and relational skills enabling us to replicate the model and take it to other markets.
Therefore, we decided to continue the activity independently and with a new company in Liberia: Family Pol Business (FPB), which has since taken over the reins of the local market and developed additional projects, becoming an official supplier to the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia and is now the leading general contractor in the country.
We then moved to Ethiopia where we were awarded some works for the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) compound in Addis Ababa.
Being aware of our organizational skills and expertise fully acquired over the years, we outlined the directions for the development of other African markets.
The path for geographical diversification stemmed from the relationships already developed and led to planning our presence not only in Liberia and Ethiopia, but also in Cameroon, Guinea, Nigeria, Tanzania.
